after indulging myself in re-watching the first season of Gossip Girl in its delicious entirety, I found myself wondering who the designer of those fabulous Eleanor Waldorf clothes were.
Some of my favourite iconic outfits include:
(these backless dresses are perfection; I love the solid vibrant colours, and the skinny high-waisted belts)
Conclusion? Abigail Lorick is my new designer obsession.
Some outfits from Lorick Lady S/S 08 and 09 Collections:
also, her website is one of (if not the) best I've come across. It reads like a storybook, and the transition between pages allows you to flip between gorgeous photographs, not to mention that there's a delightful soundtrack floating in the background.

The F/W 09 music is very Paris along the Seine, and S/S 09 is the Manhattan Serenade from the 1940's; have a listen, I promise you'll feel as though you've just put the needle onto an old record and are smoking a cigarette while dancing around your parlour:
that night in manhattan was the start of it
we lived it and we loved every part of it
the glow of moonlight in the park
the lights that spell your name
the autumn breeze that fanned the spark
that set our hearts aflame
our kiss was a sky-ride to the highest star
we made it without touching a handlebar
and i gave you my love
to the melody of the music, the madness
that made our manhattan serenade
