YogArt with The Society tonight
@SHOW&TELL gallery (dundas and ossington)
enjoyed some zen breathing and downward dogging amidst inspiring urban pop art

artists currently being featured for the GETOVERIT exhibit include

greg gossel

comic book tribute pieces that juxtapose various emotional elements via exaggerated animation.

" Greg views his work as a visual interpretation about life, the struggle, and the beauty. He accomplishes this through the interplay of many diverse words, gestures, and images. The process behind each piece is integral, building up a surface, layering it with a variety of mediums; spray paint, paper-collage, serigraph, ink, acrylics and oils. His work is loose and spontaneous, when a piece is finished Greg wants it to illustrate a visual history of change, process, and expression. "

steve powers

seemingly arbitrary words and visuals that come together in a critical analysis of human behavior. stylistically, works are quite simple, but open to a wide variety of interpretation.

greg lamarche

minimalist in design principles, although, upon closer inspection, crafted in fairly elaborate detail. his pieces more deeply explore the relationships between colour, shape, and repetition. emphasis on interactions between different kinds of typography.

" he creates unique collage's that blur the line between fine art and graphic design. Each of his pieces take a painstakingly amount of time to make as Greg strictly uses text from found objects and flat leaflet paper that he collects for sometimes years at a time before the final work is created. Greg's work incorporates an array of typography and word fragments as well as elements of graffiti such as motion, repetition, multiple perspectives, bold color, wit, and always fresh styles "

shoutouts to my many loves for a friday eve full of debauchery at mod club.. i woke up fully clothed, contacts still in, and the oven cranked sat morning with no recollection of the journey home. oh, to be young and irresponsible.
