DONE EXAMS!!!

and the livin's easy.

well aren't blogs the perfect study distraction..

turned on the tv hoping to have a quick rest after work before I begin studying, and wouldn't you know it, but Love, Actually is on. I have watched and loved this movie time and time again for years now; there is something so moving in each of the separate plotlines, whether it be unrequited love, or the shyness of two people refusing to admit their feelings to each other, or even childhood crushes (the little boy in the movie is actually ADORABLE personified.)
..not to mention that Hugh Grant and Colin Firth are some of my fav British exports.

For sure the most moving scene in the movie. I love how the feelings are so perfectly expressed without words.

this makes me want kisses under mistletoe :(

on second thought..

there are definitely things that can aid in battling exam-time frustrations..

is there anything more unnerving then spending a gorgeous day trapped in your room reading lecture notes, while the possibility of daytime-patio-drunkness passes you by??! I seriously doubt it.

Had a Social-able evening last night avec Simonaa.. saw half of M.A.N.D.Y. draw in an impressive crowd of people. The most specific memory I have of the evening is watching the room from behind the dj booth moving to what is described on M.A.N.D.Y's myspace as "showtunes / healing & easy listening / tropical"... hmmm. Such an OBVIOUS combination, wouldn't you say?
...flashbacks to blurs of dark silhouettes under flickering neon strobes. Summer outfit inspirtation, I think.

honey, honey up in the trees.. fields of flowers deep in his dreams

So I've finally succumbed to the lure of the blog.. it was just too impossible to resist! And with classes over and summer just around the bend, I've decided that it's time to get going on my goals for the next four months, which include (in no particular order.. haha, yeah right):

- partying
- traveling
- creative projects (aka blogging, painting, photography, jewelery making..)
- reading

With that said, I'm definitely going to ease into the productive process. I've been reveling in the amazing feeling of sleeping in for the past two days, making myself a huge breakfast, and enjoying the satisfaction of having absolutely NO where to be.

The days are steadily growing longer, and as I type this, there are bright beams of sunlight pouring in through my window. The branches of the trees in my backyard are budding with the promise of leaves to come. I can't wait for soft summer skies and the return of colourful flowers, and the dream of spending summer afternoons lying in a field high as a kite... Here are some photos to spark the imagination.
